The Vo-96 has been a big part of my life for three years now. It has transformed my sense of musical time and space; things have slowed down, become more spacious, more languid. And it has helped me hear what’s all around us better. I play differently even when playing another instrument, my mind accustomed to vastly increased harmonic activity, imagining it’s there even when it’s not. And the Wond, while a different animal, lets me transfer some of the Vo magic into “regular” guitars. It has secrets of its own to reveal, and I love its wild and woolly nature. Paul Vo is a true pioneer, artistic catalyst extraordinaire, and I’m honored to say has become a good friend.
